Compare these 2 black wolfs, one from Brazil, and the latest one from Suriname, notice the headshape is completely different, I got some big ones too, but they're caged up for bad behavior, cannot let them out aimara is from previous shipment, just putting it up for comparison. these fish are all about the same size.
Epinephelus itajara, first time in the hobby for me and most, and its a legally caught fish, was destined for someone's dinner table, but I saved it. Caught in the Suriname river, alongside snooks and peacock bass! This is a keeper for me, first, one, and only one.
Ok, after a long night of unpacking fish, my hands smell like deadfish, and feel like water logged raisins. Its almost 3am, after throwing away boxes and dead fish, time to edit some photos and upload some pictures. The first night the pictures always come out a bit rough, with water spots and fish in not so perfect shape. I was a bit disappointed in some of my favorites of the shipment did not make it, but luckily there is another shipment coming in a few days from now!
This South American Corvina Plagioscion squamosissimus (Heckel, 1840) unfortunately did not make it, but its super cool, huge mouth and with teeth, and a big head and tall back. I will have to get a school of these one day!
